The War Remnants Museum is Ho Chi Minh’s most visited museum.

This museum gives visitors a graphic account of the atrocities of the Vietnam War and it is very graphic and confronting.

Once a simple colonial era villa, known as the Museum of American War Crimes, the museum now spans 3 floors and includes an extensive recreation of the former prison on Con Dao Island.

The outdoor section of the museum displays the hardware of the United States’ Vietnam War machine - tanks, aircraft and weapons.

Inside is a pretty disturbing experience, as it would be for all wars (sadly) and of course the victims are mostly innocent civilians 😪
