3-day Ho Chi Minh City trip during the long holiday

✈️ Saigon Review

Just returned from Ho Chi Minh City. I can tell you that this city is bustling, fun, and full of delicious food. You can easily explore all the highlights in three days.

🗓 Day 1 – City Walk + Cafe Hopping
• As soon as you get off the plane, I recommend purchasing a SIM/eSIM card so you can easily call Grab (Grab is widely used here).
• Visit the Central Post Office and Notre Dame Cathedral, which are close together for beautiful photos.
• Stop by Nguyen Hue Walking Street, a long pedestrian street lined with cafes. It's a great place to chill.
• In the evening, enjoy authentic Vietnamese food like Bánh Xèo (Vietnamese crepes) or Pho (a fragrant soup).

🗓 Day 2 – History + Local Market
• Visit the War Remnants Museum in the morning for a new perspective on Vietnam.
• Continue to the Unification Palace. (Reunification Palace) History buffs, this is a must-see.
• In the afternoon, head to Ben Thanh Market for souvenirs, clothing, Vietnamese coffee, and tons of food.
• In the evening, find a rooftop bar to watch the sunset and enjoy views of the entire city.

🗓 Day 3 – Touring the Outskirts
• Head out of town to Củ Chi Tunnels, a tunnel from the Vietnam War era. You can actually walk down it, which is a lot of fun.
• Back in town, stop for some delicious Bánh Mì or Vietnamese Egg Coffee before boarding your flight.
💡 Tips for Beginners
1. Use Grab instead of a taxi. It's safe and the prices are clear.
2. Bring small amounts of dong, as some shops won't accept larger bills.
3. The weather is hot and humid. A hat and sunscreen are recommended.
4. Don't forget to try the refreshing, sweet, and creamy Vietnamese iced coffee.
Ho Chi Minh is a city worth visiting in just three days. The food is delicious, and the atmosphere is vibrant. It's perfect for a long weekend if you're looking for a change of scenery without too much hassle. 🇻🇳✨
