Ho Chi Minh City, nicknamed the "Paris of the East," boasts beautiful cityscapes and a huge market with approximately 2,000 shops, typical of Southeast Asia. 🇻🇳
Even now, when the weak yen makes international travel more challenging, Vietnam remains a relatively affordable destination! If you're looking for a budget-friendly trip, now's the time to explore Vietnam, where you can enjoy the beautiful Southeast Asian and Oriental atmosphere and delicious food. ✨
Before you travel to Vietnam, check out the immigration information below. ⚠️
✅No Visa Required💥
Japanese nationals are exempt from the tedious and cost-effective visa process! Stays of up to 45 days visa-free are permitted, making this a great choice for first-time travelers, repeat visitors, and long-term nomads who work remotely from their computers.
Immigration inspections are also relatively relaxed, meaning you can often enter the country without any questions.
However, be aware that immigration lines can often be long (especially for daytime arrivals).
When I arrived on an early morning flight, I was able to enter the country smoothly with almost no wait.
✅Weather (Ho Chi Minh City)
Being in Southeast Asia, it's summer all year round, so you can wear casual attire like a T-shirt or shorts.
👕 Traveling light is also a plus, so even if you're using a low-cost carrier, you can travel without extra checked baggage.
The rainy season is generally from May to November, and the dry season is from December to April. The best time to visit Ho Chi Minh City is right now! The average temperature during the dry season is around 28°C (though it can exceed 30°C during the day), but the low humidity and lack of rain make it easy to plan your sightseeing and ensure you can take beautiful photos at the most photogenic spots.
✅Prices💸
Depending on the item, prices are said to be about one-third of the normal price! You can eat a meal for around ¥300 at local restaurants and food stalls. 💰 Not only is it cheap, but the food is delicious and perfectly suited to Japanese palates.
Souvenir T-shirts can even be purchased for around ¥400 at markets if you negotiate well. 👌 (Negotiating too much can get you into trouble, so be careful.)
500ml of mineral water costs about ¥60.
Round-trip airfare from Tokyo: ¥30,000-¥35,000 (flight time is about 6 hours).
✅Transportation in Ho Chi Minh City
For travelers, taxis or the Grab app are convenient for saving time. 🚕 (Airport to city center: about ¥1,000).
For those looking to save money, buses are recommended. 🚌 (Airport to city center: under ¥100). Buses also take you to major tourist attractions.
If you're traveling alone, motorbike taxis are also inexpensive and recommended, but be careful of sudden downpours during the rainy season. ⚠️
