Huangfu Mountain National Forest Park is located in Nanqiao District, Chuzhou City, Anhui Province, between the cities of Nanjing, Bengbu, and Hefei. It forms the "roof" of the hilly region of eastern Anhui. Huangfu Mountain, formerly known as Quting Mountain and Beijiangjun Mountain, earned its name after the Southern Tang Dynasty general Huangfu Hui stationed his troops there.
Huangfushan National Forest Park is located in the northern subtropical humid monsoon climate zone, with an altitude of 399.2 meters, a total area of 53,273 mu, and a forest coverage rate of 96%. It has the most complete and largest original secondary forest landscape belt in the Jianghuai region, and is known as the "Shuangbanna of East and West China".
Huangfushan National Forest Park is located on the Yangtze-Huaihe River watershed, with numerous ponds, dams, and streams. The Xiang River originates at the southern foot of Huangfushan Mountain; the Wadian River's southern source is near Jiubanqiao, at the junction of Beijiangjunling and Huangfengling. After emerging from the mountains, it flows southeast, passing through Quting and joining a tributary at Menkanling, originating from Beijiangjunling in the southern part of Huangfushan National Forest Park, before flowing east into the Qingliu River.
It has a northern subtropical humid monsoon climate; Huangfushan National Forest Park has the most complete and largest original secondary forest landscape belt in the Jianghuai region. It is known as the "Shuangbanna of East and West China" and is suitable for travel in all seasons.
