Notre Dame Cathedral - Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam

This cathedral in a quiet central area of ​​the city is Ho Chi Minh City's hallmark and its most famous architectural landmark.

The cathedral was built between 1863 and 1880 on the site of a former Vietnamese pagoda. All the materials were brought from France. For many years it was called the Saigon Temple, and in 1962 the Pope performed the rite of anointing, after which the name of the building was changed to Saigon Notre Dame, and it became the main cathedral of the country.
