The Scent of Lotus

Everywhere in Ninh Binh, you find lotus ponds — calm stretches of water dotted with pink flowers. I walked beside one for nearly an hour, breathing in the soft, sweet scent that floated in the air. The mountains rose behind it like dark silhouettes. It’s one of those places that feels almost unreal — as if nature arranged everything too perfectly.
