🇻🇳 Day 1: Don Mueang - Danang (07:45 - 09:45)
* Han Market // Linh Ung Pagoda // Seafood by My Khe Beach // Dragon Bridge (fire show only on Fri, Sat, Sun)
After clearing immigration, head to the Grab pick-up area. Grab is widely used in Vietnam and very convenient; you can link your card for payment. Once you’ve called a Grab, drop your luggage at the hotel and head to Han Market. If you’re looking for traditional Vietnamese outfits, this is the place to buy them. You can bargain down to 200,000 VND (compared to 800,000 VND in Hoi An). Near the market, there’s a pink church and many coffee shops. If you run out of cash, you can exchange Thai Baht at the gold shop on the corner for a good rate. The weather was scorching, so after grabbing a bite, I returned to the hotel to rest. Later, I took a Grab to Linh Ung Pagoda, followed by a seafood dinner, and then visited Dragon Bridge. If you don’t want to get stuck in traffic, leave before the fire show ends as it gets extremely crowded.
🇻🇳🇻🇳 Day 2: Ba Na Hills
It’s best to go early to avoid the crowds at the Golden Bridge (Hand Bridge). I recommend buying tickets at the entrance to avoid potential issues. I purchased a Combo ticket for 1,250,000 VND, which included a buffet meal. Some rides require an additional fee of 70,000 VND. I spent the entire day at Ba Na Hills. The round-trip car fare from the hotel was 600,000 VND. After returning to the hotel, I rested and later went out for dinner at a Thai restaurant, spending a total of 820,000 VND.
🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳 Day 3: Hoi An
*** Coconut Boat Ride // Hoi An Old Town // Han Market
I hired the same Grab driver for a round trip to Hoi An for 600,000 VND. The driver was very helpful and recommended a tour. We stopped at the Coconut Boat Ride, which took about an hour and cost 200,000 VND. If you want photos, it’s an additional 100,000 VND. Next, we headed to Hoi An Old Town, arriving around 11 AM. I had lunch at a Vietnamese-style chicken rice restaurant, which was delicious. They only serve one set menu for 750,000 VND, including boiled chicken, chicken salad, and two large plates of rice. After lunch, I explored the old market for about three hours but only managed to cover one alley due to the intense heat. On the way back to Danang, I stopped at Han Market to buy some souvenirs. (For cheaper souvenirs, visit the night market near Dragon Bridge or shop at a mall instead.) Around 8 PM, I went out for dinner and had Vietnamese-style hotpot near the hotel. The hotpot included rice noodles and was reasonably priced. I ordered a full table of food, spending 390,000 VND. 😁
🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳 Day 4: Returning to Thailand
Prepare to leave for the airport 2-3 hours in advance to avoid missing your flight, as immigration can be very slow, even when it’s not crowded. 😅😅
