Today, I will share my travel plan to Victoria Peak in Hong Kong. How to get there, which ways to go, and what are the expenses? This will help you make a decision if you have a plan to travel there.
π I started my journey from my accommodation in Mong Kok by train to Tsim Sha Tsui Station to buy a night bus tour ticket at the Star Ferry Pier before going to the Peak Tram. After buying the ticket, I walked to board the ferry. I chose the upper deck, which is the second floor of the boat where you can enjoy the view. The price is around $3. You can use your Octopus card to tap right away. It's so cheap!
When you reach the pier 7 on the Central side, walk out and turn left to the pier 8 side. There will be a bus stop. Now, you have to remember it and don't get on the wrong one.
π Bus 15 will take you to the viewpoint on top of the mountain (if you don't want to take the peak tram). The price is much cheaper than taking the tram. About 60 Thai baht, about 45-50 minutes. On the way back, you can take the same bus back to the pier.
π Bus 15C will take you to the Peak Tram station (in case you want to take the Peak Tram), get off at the last stop, it takes about 15 minutes to get there. Tram tickets can be bought in advance or bought at the entrance. The price I bought in advance for a round trip is about 590, including the entrance fee. For first-time visitors, I recommend taking the tram. The view is quite unique.
Another way is to take the train to Central Station and walk to the Peak Tram station for about 1 km, or you can call a taxi.
When you reach the top, walk up the building following the signs to the viewpoint on top. The view from the top is very high and beautiful. But the day I went, the sun was very hot. I only stayed for a short while before coming down. I secretly saw the viewpoint on the side that doesn't have an entrance fee. The view is just as beautiful, but it might not be as wide as the top. The sun is much shadier. Haha, for those of you who want to go on a budget, this viewpoint is a good choice. Walk out of the building and it's on the left.
By now, you should have some travel ideas. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask. If I know, I will share them with you all. π«Άπ»
