The Hong Kong Railway Museum is one of Tai Po's historic landmarks. It covers an area of ​​6,500 square meters. It was formerly the Old Tai Po Market Station, which was put into service from 1913 until it was retired in 1983 due to the introduction of electric trains.

The museum's exhibits are mainly retired physical trains, including 7 historical carriages, 1 manual engineering vehicle and 1 motorized engineering vehicle. At the same time, there are also narrow-gauge steam locomotives used on the Sha Tau Kok Branch Line, the first diesel locomotive of KCR - Sir Alexander No. 51, locomotive No. 313, etc., as well as a series of tools, train models, pictures and signal systems used by the Hong Kong Railway in the past.
