Recently Opened Japanese Light Meal Cafe in Kwai Fong Offers Great Lunch Deals

While passing through Metroplaza, I noticed that this chain Japanese Western restaurant had opened a new branch, so I decided to have lunch there. They offer lunch sets during lunch hours with a variety of options. The set meals come with a salad/soup and a drink, and you can add snacks for an extra charge.

Wagyu Scotch Egg with Mustard Seed Okonomiyaki Sauce $158
This unique dish on the lunch menu features a Wagyu beef patty wrapped around an egg and deep-fried to achieve a crispy exterior, tender and juicy beef, and a runny yolk inside. The dish offers a triple texture experience, and the combination of Wagyu beef and runny yolk is perfect. It also comes with a salad and mustard mashed potatoes.

Miso Salmon with Pan-Seared Crab Cake and Mentaiko Sauce $198
My friend ordered the pan-seared salmon with crab cake. The salmon had a light miso flavor, not too salty, with perfect seasoning. The skin was crispy, and the meat was not dry. The crab cake and mashed potatoes made the dish very rich.

Pan-Seared Foie Gras with Aomori Apple Balsamic Sushi Taco/Eel Tamago Sushi Taco $88/+$48
Another unique offering from the restaurant is the sushi taco, where crispy seaweed is used to hold various fillings and sushi rice. We each ordered one. The foie gras with green apple version uses a rich Italian balsamic sauce, and the sweet and sour apple balances the richness of the foie gras.

Aomori Apple Parfait $88
For dessert, we shared an apple parfait, which included apple-flavored ice cream, apple chunks, compote, and apple jelly. Made with Japanese Aomori apples, it was crisp and sweet.

Sweet and Sour Soda +$38
The lemon soda mixed with brown sugar syrup was sweet and sour, refreshing, and unique.

Fuji Green Grape $52
My friend ordered the green grape iced tea, which was fresh and included green grape pieces.
