#favouriteitinerary #travelanywhere Our trip to Ocean Park in Hong Kong was one for the books! It’s not just an amusement park—it’s a whole experience. One of the first things that blew us away was the cable car ride. As we glided above the park, we were treated to stunning views of the lush landscape, the sparkling blue of the South China Sea, and the endless sky above. It felt like we were floating over a living postcard, and it was the perfect way to kick off our adventure.
Once we made our way through the park, we got to meet some of the most adorable animals. The penguins were definitely the stars of the show, waddling around and creating their own little frosty kingdom. The Arctic foxes were a total surprise—those little guys looked like they came straight out of a winter wonderland, even though we were in the heart of a tropical city. The seals were just as playful, gliding through the water with ease. And the aquarium? Totally mesmerizing. There’s something calming about watching the colorful fish and majestic rays drift through the water, while the sharks cruise by in their silent elegance.
Ocean Park has a completely different vibe depending on the time of day. During the daylight hours, it’s alive with energy. Kids are laughing, families are wandering, and everyone’s taking in the sights and sounds of the park. But as the sun begins to set, it takes on a totally different atmosphere. The park becomes quieter, more magical—especially when the lights start to flicker on, casting a soft glow over the paths. The transition from day to night is pretty cool to witness, like the park takes a deep breath and slows down for a moment.
For those looking for a thrill, the rides definitely deliver. The Hair Raiser roller coaster was a total blast—intense, fast, and offering some seriously epic views of the park and the coastline. Then there’s Aqua City, where the water-themed rides and surrounding aquariums offer a refreshing escape from the heat, and a bit of relaxation to balance out the adrenaline. It’s the perfect mix of thrills and chill.
A highlight of the evening was the Gala of Lights show. It was like the whole park came alive with color and music, turning the night into a dazzling display of light. The lights danced to the rhythm of the music, creating a magical atmosphere that made us feel like we were in a dream. It was the perfect way to wrap up our day.
Getting to Ocean Park is super easy. Just hop on the MTR and get off at Ocean Park Station on the South Island Line. It’s just a short walk from there to the entrance, where the adventure begins. Whether you're into rides, wildlife, or just soaking in the views, Ocean Park is one of those places that’ll stick with you long after you leave.
