The Tianxiang Scenic Area is located in Dangmian Mountain, east of Ji'an County, Jiangxi Province (at the intersection of National Highway 105 and Jijing Highway), covering an area of more than 1,000 acres. The scenic area contains red, green and ancient resources, and consists of three attractions: Wen Tianxiang Memorial Hall, Tianxiang Park and General Park.
Tianxiang Scenic Area is a tourist attraction specially built to commemorate the great Southern Song Dynasty national hero Wen Tianxiang and the 46 founding generals of the Republic who were influenced by Wen Tianxiang's patriotic spirit and embarked on the revolutionary path.
The red revolutionary history, green folk customs and ancient traditional culture are integrated and complement each other in Tianxiang Scenic Area, showing the unique charm of Luling culture to the world. It has high historical and cultural value, social education value and viewing and recreation value.
Tianxiang Scenic Area has a subtropical monsoon humid climate and a beautiful ecological environment that attracts many tourists. It is suitable for travel in all seasons.
The Wen Tianxiang Memorial Hall in the Tianxiang Scenic Area was built in 1984 and officially opened on January 9, 1992. The basic display of the museum is based on the life story of Wen Tianxiang. While fully displaying the museum's collection of cultural relics, pictures and documents, it uses artistic techniques and technological means to display the important life nodes and noble sentiments of the national hero Wen Tianxiang through scenes, set boxes, holographic imaging, simulated flip books, multimedia images and other artistic forms of expression.
The General Park within the scenic area was built in 2006 and opened to the public on August 1, 2007. It faces the Wen Tianxiang Memorial Hall across the road. Combining revolutionary tourism, patriotic education, and county townscape, the park comprises six sections: a large-scale themed sculpture; a statue garden, the core of the park; a relief wall; a monument to revolutionary heroes, the heart of the park; a forest of steles; and a memorial hall.
Tianxiang Park within the scenic area is adjacent to the Wen Tianxiang Memorial Hall. Designed according to a spatial structure characterized by mountains to the north and water to the south, a lake in front and a stream behind, the park embraces the mountains and water, with the mountains and water intertwined. Scenic spots are arranged around the lake, centered around the water. Entering from the south entrance, visitors can admire twelve beautiful landscapes: Shadows of the Cloud Sail Pavilion, Three Islets in Spring, Elegant Rest on the Waterwheel, Pastoral Autumn Fruits, Silver Heron on Green Island, Floating Lights and Leaping Gold, Secluded Residence in Peach Creek, Listening to the Waterfall with Fragrant Lotus, Ancient Rhymes of the Water Lane, Fragrance of Books and Bamboo, Verdant Mountains, and Upright Pine Winds. These twelve landscapes represent five major cultural sections: farming, handicrafts, folk customs, academies, and righteousness, showcasing Luling's traditional culture.
