Hidden in Ngau Mei Hoi of Sai Kung, Kiu Tsui Chau is a gem of the Hong Kong Global Geopark and an excellent summer water adventure destination! The Xiamen Bay (Half Moon Bay) here is famous for its "Grade 1 Water Quality," with crystal-clear waters like glass. Snorkel among colorful fish and explore coral secrets covering nearly 80% of the area, encountering surprises like sea urchins and starfish.
Transparent Kayak, Gliding Through an Underwater Gallery
Paddle a transparent kayak, as if floating in the air, with vibrant coral reefs and swimming fish right beneath your feet. The waters around Kiu Tsui Chau are calm, making it easy for beginners to navigate. Along the way, explore the intertidal sandbar "Angel’s Path"—a natural sand ridge that appears at low tide. Step over volcanic rocks called "Pineapple Bun Stones" and feel the magical textures of ancient geology.
A Full-Day Double Experience, Sea and Land Adventure
Paddle in the morning, then gear up for snorkeling to dive deep into the sea in the afternoon, or try stand-up paddleboard yoga to stretch and relax on the swaying blue waves. The island is well-equipped with changing rooms and rinse areas, but you need to bring your own fresh water and food. Before heading back, don’t forget to climb Black Hilltop to overlook the sunset glow over Ngau Mei Hoi, ending your trip with a poetic touch.
