Great value upstairs izakaya in Causeway Bay

This time I want to introduce a hidden izakaya on the 21st floor of Chung Wai Commercial Building in Causeway Bay called "Virus Restaurant & Bar." Once you enter, you'll see one wall decorated with classic Hong Kong movie posters from the 80s and 90s, and the other side features a nostalgic toy cabinet. From 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM, as long as each person spends at least $180 on food, you can add $99 per person (an extra $20 per person on Fridays and Saturdays) for unlimited red wine, white wine, beer, and sake for three hours. If you love drinking, you can come for a night and get your money’s worth!

1. Signature Hell Ramen (mild spicy) $53 + iced coffee $3 (9.5/10)
This signature Hell Ramen is quite spicy even though it’s labeled mild, with a numbing spicy flavor. It comes with plenty of toppings including 4 slices of char siu, a soft-boiled egg, crab sticks, and corn kernels. The noodles are springy and well-coated with sauce. The spiciness builds up as you eat, leaving a fiery sensation on your body—very exciting and delicious!
For the drink, I chose iced coffee, which was rich and aromatic, helping to cool down the spiciness. Perfect!

2. Korean Spicy Beef Rice $53 + iced lemon tea $3 (9/10)
This beef rice has a Korean-style spicy flavor, sweet and not too hot. Besides beef, it also includes green peppers, red peppers, and onions!
For the drink, I chose iced lemon tea with four lemon slices, not too sweet!

3. Chicken Cartilage Skewers (2 skewers) $42 (9.5/10)
These two chicken cartilage skewers have plenty of cartilage, giving a great texture!

4. Grilled Prawn (1 skewer) $43 (10/10)
I ordered two skewers of grilled prawns. The prawns are somewhat like tiger prawns, and each prawn is very large. The prawn meat is fresh, sweet, and springy!

**One night I want to come up here and have a drinking contest with the lady boss 🤣🤣🤣**
