Sai Kung, Hong Kong: A Slow-Living Paradise That Makes You Want to Settle Down! Plus a Secret Coffee Map

Ask me which district I love most in Hong Kong? Sai Kung has been my unchanging answer for years! 🌊 Here, you’ll find a relaxed vibe you won’t get in the busy city—the fishing boats by the pier sway as they sell fresh seafood, which you can pick, have freshly killed, and cooked on the spot; the streets are filled with unique little shops, and the aroma of coffee mixed with the sea breeze drifts by. You can just walk into any café and cozy up for an entire afternoon~

A must-visit is Sai Kung Pier! A 15-minute boat ride takes you to Half Moon Bay, where fine white sand meets crystal-clear water—it’s basically the city’s backyard garden 🌴 Hiking lovers must go! The MacLehose Trail’s scenery is so beautiful it looks like a painting. When you’re tired, find a seaside café, order a cold brew, and watch the boats come and go. This is exactly how weekends should be~

Here are a few of my favorite spots: SSS Coffee’s pour-over always surprises, and The Coffee Academics’ sea view seats are incredible! Next time you come to Sai Kung, remember to set aside a whole day to explore slowly—from morning tea to sunset coffee, leave the fast pace behind~
