Hong Kong Bar Check-in｜A Slightly Tipsy Experience at Three Stylish Small Bars

This time in Hong Kong, I visited three bars in a row, from disappointing to delightful experiences—it was amazing! Here’s a red and black list for your reference～

📍The Green Door

A popular spot but the experience was just average😞 You need to DM on IG to make a reservation, and the reply was super slow! As the first table, the complimentary popcorn was already stale, and several cocktails on the menu were “sold out”… I ordered the Alexandria cocktail, which was so-so. Although the decor was exquisite, the service and quality control really lost points💔

📍Penicillin

An unexpectedly delightful “laboratory-style” bar! The walls were covered with test tubes and instruments. I ordered the DAIRY OF YOUNG, which had a perfect balance of creamy and alcoholic flavors, smooth with a hint of sweet and sour, instantly healing the disappointment from the previous place～ It was quiet with few people, perfect for chatting～

📍GOKAN

The best of the night! The Japanese bar was super easy to book directly on their official website～ Must order the WATERMELON COFFEEZZ! The refreshing watermelon paired with the roasted coffee beans was totally harmonious! Although my friend’s pasta took a long time, the sweet and sour sauce was very appetizing～ The additional GRILLED CORN COLADA was even more surprising, with salty corn flavor mixed with coconut milk, perfect with the pasta! The service was attentive and thoughtful, definitely on my list to revisit✅

The sequence from disappointment to surprise at these three bars made the whole night very memorable～ Next time in Hong Kong, I’ll definitely head straight to GOKAN!
