This season features treasures from Hong Kong collectors, including ancient calligraphy and painting collections from Xubai Studio, Zhiyuelou, and Beishantang. They collected a large number of Chinese calligraphy, paintings, and cultural relics in the mid-20th century, which flowed into Hong Kong due to political turmoil, preventing these precious collections from being taken abroad. The Hong Kong Museum of Art offers guided tours, which you must join! They are free, and the guides will share interesting stories about different artists, art techniques, and viewing tips. It’s very fun. Additionally, the museum faces the sea view of Wan Chai and Central. The museum provides folding stools, so you can sit and daydream while enjoying the beautiful Victoria Harbour scenery.
