🍮 Review of Bakehouse Central Branch – The Legendary Egg Tart You Must Try!
This time, I purposely went to Bakehouse Central branch early in the morning because I had heard for a long time that their egg tarts are so good you have to line up for them. So I rushed out before 9 AM. It turned out there was already a queue, but luckily it wasn’t long, and I got to order after a short wait.
Of course, I came just for the egg tart! The tart itself is incredibly fragrant, with a crispy, layered sourdough crust—not your usual puff pastry. The first bite was like, “Wow, this is amazing.” The egg filling in the center is soft, smooth, and has a perfect buttery and milky aroma, with just the right amount of sweetness. Eating it hot is pure bliss.
I didn’t stop there—I also bought some to take home to Thailand and reheat. Honestly, it was still just as delicious, the aroma remained, and the crust stayed crispy without any effort!
Besides the egg tarts, the shop also offers other very tempting bakery items like croissants, donuts, and cinnamon rolls. I wanted to try many things but was afraid I couldn’t carry them all, haha.
Overall, I now understand why people line up. The shop is small with no seating, but the quality is truly at a five-star hotel level.
