Kwun Yam Shrine at Repulse Bay Beach

If you visit Hong Kong and want a peaceful, beautiful atmosphere filled with faith all in one place, we recommend stopping by Kwun Yam Shrine at Repulse Bay Beach, located by the sea on the southern part of Hong Kong Island, just 30 minutes from the city center.

This place is famous for the towering white statue of Kwun Yam, accompanied by various deities such as Tin Hau and the God of Wealth, along with a seaside atmosphere with cool breezes and a panoramic view of Repulse Bay. A favorite spot for tourists is the red "Longevity Bridge," believed to grant an additional three years of life if crossed.

Inside the shrine, many deities are enshrined at various points, decorated in vibrant Chinese style, including paired lions, dragon fish, and the God of Prosperity. It’s a great place to pray for health, career, and good fortune.

Getting here is very easy: take bus numbers 6, 6A, 6X, or 260 from Central to Repulse Bay Beach, then walk a short distance to the shrine.
