Homemade Fruit Curry

Planning to eat at Tai On Building, but many shops were closed. Walking a bit further, I found a restaurant with a very Japanese-style decor. I thought it was takeout only, but there was seating around the corner for dine-in.

🔸Homemade Lightly Pickled Grilled Lotus Root
The edges of the lotus root are slightly charred, with a crisp texture. Served cold, its sour flavor is very appetizing.

🔸Herb-Seared Duck Breast Curry Bowl
The sugar on the duck breast skin is caramelized, giving a crispy, sweet, and slightly smoky flavor. The duck breast is thick but tender and smooth.
The homemade fruit curry is sweet and mild, not spicy, with a hint of spiciness from the sansho pepper powder, making it perfect with rice.

🔸Rich Soy Sauce Ran-Oh Japanese Style Beef Rice
Generous portions of beef, lean with some fat, tender in texture.
Mixed with Ran-Oh egg, the rice is coated in thick egg sauce, then mixed with sesame and seaweed for extra aroma.

🔸Octopus and Squid Stick
The octopus and squid stick is soft and tender, with bits of octopus and squid inside when bitten.
