🏄‍♂️My SUP & Wakeboarding Adventure in Hong Kong

📝

I recently tried Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) and wakeboarding in Hong Kong, and it was an unforgettable experience!

🌅 SUP at Sai Kung was peaceful and scenic. The water was calm, perfect for beginners like me. Paddling around the clear bays, I enjoyed stunning views of nature while getting a gentle full-body workout. The board rental was easy and affordable (about HK$120/hour), and the staff was super friendly.

💥 Then came the adrenaline rush with wakeboarding in Tai Tam. Being towed by a boat over the waves was thrilling and challenging! The instructors gave great tips, making it safe and fun. Although I fell a few times, the excitement kept me going. Lessons and equipment rental were a bit pricier but totally worth it.

🚿 After both activities, the nearby facilities with showers and cafés made relaxing easy.

💡 Tips: Early morning is best for SUP, while a windy afternoon suits wakeboarding. Beginners, start with SUP to build confidence!
🚍 Getting There

To Sai Kung:
• Take the MTR to Hang Hau Station on the Tseung Kwan O Line.
• Exit at B1, then board the 101M green minibus to Sai Kung.
• The journey takes about 30–40 minutes and costs around HK$20.

To Tai Tam:
• Take the MTR to Admiralty Station.
• From Exit A, board the 14 bus towards Stanley.
• Alight at Tai Tam Reservoir North Stop.
• The total journey takes approximately 23 minutes and costs HK$18–26.

⭐ Overall, Hong Kong’s water sports offer a fantastic mix of calm adventure and adrenaline. Whether you want chill vibes or high energy, these activities are a must-try!
