On weekends, I occasionally visit the area around the Gold Coast Hotel in Tuen Mun to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Although the hotel has been around for some time, it is well-maintained with plenty of greenery and spacious grounds. During the afternoon tea hours, I enjoy drinks and cakes at the buffet restaurant, which are beautifully presented. The restaurant wasn’t too crowded that day, and its floor-to-ceiling glass windows offer a relaxing view of the outdoor swimming pool. Overall, the prices are reasonable, and afterward, you can head to the nearby beach and shopping mall for some photo opportunities. With blue skies, white clouds, clear waters, and soft sand, it’s a perfect way to temporarily forget work stress.
