I didn’t want to leave after staying four nights in Lijiang! This beautiful guesthouse treated me like family

Who would understand! I originally planned to stay just one night in Lijiang, but ended up staying until the fourth night at Fanchenli and still didn’t want to leave—this isn’t just a guesthouse, it’s clearly my temporary “home” in Lijiang. Even now, when I scroll through the photos, I want to buy a plane ticket and go back immediately 😭

First, let me rave about this “quiet oasis in the midst of the hustle and bustle” location! It’s right at No. 24 Ziyun Alley, Beimen Street, Old Town, just a 5-minute walk to the Big Waterwheel. You can explore the Old Town without dragging your luggage and wearing yourself out; for those driving, it’s even better—there’s free parking, so no need to waste money on parking spots around the Old Town that cost over 50 yuan a day! Along the way, there are supermarkets and fruit shops, making it super convenient to grab a bottle of yogurt while strolling the Old Town, with no worries about “living too far away” at all~

What touched me the most was the “warmth and hospitality” here! Before we even arrived at the guesthouse, the host Chunge was waiting for us at the street corner. When he helped carry our luggage, it instantly felt like visiting a friend’s home; during check-in, Sister Zhu brewed tea and handed us fresh flower cakes, chatting as we ate, instantly melting away the fatigue of travel. Later, when we returned from Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, we happened to catch their gathering with friends. Chunge immediately pulled us in to sit down, drink, and eat, chatting with a group of strangers until midnight. In the end, we actually became friends who share moments on social media. This kind of warmth is truly more unforgettable than any scenery~

The housekeeper was also super thoughtful! When A Yuan showed us the rooms, he carefully explained even how to wake up Xiao Du and how to turn on the bathroom heater; since my family loves tea, every time we passed the front desk, A Liang would ask if we wanted some water; after returning from Lugu Lake on a hot day, A Bin had already turned on the air conditioning in the guest rooms in advance. They even remembered our little habits—this feeling of “being cared for” is so heartwarming~

The facilities exceeded all expectations! The style of natural wood, cement, and greenery is simple yet comfortable. The whole house is smart-enabled, and now I can’t help but call out “Xiao Du, Xiao Du” in other hotels; the DeRUCCI mattress is so soft that once you lie down, you don’t want to get up. Kohler bathroom fixtures and toiletries are from the same brand as five-star hotels, and even the bathroom sliding doors have double-layer soundproof glass, so you can sleep peacefully at night without worrying about the Old Town’s lively noise. The stairs have sensor night lights, so you don’t have to fumble in the dark when getting up at night—details that move you with their thoughtfulness~

The courtyard is even more healing! The Chinese-style courtyard has a pond, a swing, wooden chairs, and a grass-roofed tea pavilion. In the morning, you can sit here with a cup of tea, watching the sunlight fall on the flowers and plants; if you come in autumn, the courtyard is golden, and in winter it’s elegantly simple—each season has its own unique beauty. No need to squeeze into crowded attractions; just hang out in the courtyard swinging and chatting—that’s the slow life Lijiang should have~

🏨Hotel Name: Fanchenli · Designer Garden Guesthouse
📍Address: No. 24 Ziyun Alley, Beimen Street, Old Town, Lijiang City (near Old Town North Gate, direct navigation)

Now, whenever I think of Lijiang, the first thing that comes to mind isn’t the cobblestone streets of the Old Town, but the tea fragrance in the Fanchenli courtyard, Chunge’s laughter, and the group of friends chatting late into the night. If I go to Lijiang again, I will definitely stay here, because here there is a “feeling of home” more precious than any scenery~
