Ma Wan Nature Park is located on Ma Wan Island in the New Territories of Hong Kong, adjacent to the Noah's Ark theme park. Covering an area of approximately 1,869,700 square feet, it is a green-themed park that combines nature, education, art, and love. The park's trails are built along the hills, preserving thousands of native trees. Every year during autumn and winter (from early December to mid-February), some deciduous trees like sweet gum and native hardwoods turn golden and orange, blending beautifully with the stunning views of the Rambler Channel, lush islands, and the majestic Tsing Ma Bridge. Visitors can climb the Bird Watching Tower to enjoy panoramic views of the sunset, red leaves, and sea scenery, making it a perfect spot for photography and hiking enthusiasts. Strolling through the park's Golden Square, Garden of Love, and Rainbow Wall offers a harmonious blend of nature and art.
Transportation: Take a ferry from Central Pier No. 2 to Park Island Pier, which takes about 15 minutes, then walk or take the NR338 shuttle bus for about 5 minutes to reach the park. Admission is free, and the park is open daily from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM (last entry at 5:00 PM). Visit during early mornings or weekdays in autumn to avoid weekend crowds and enjoy the poetic beauty of red leaves and sea breezes in tranquility.
