Take the JR Shonan Shinjuku Line from Ikebukuro Station to Kamakura (approximately 1.5 hours).
11:00 AM
Get off at Kamakura Station (East Exit).
11:30 AM
Lunch: Matsubara-an (soba noodles).
1:00 PM
Kotoku-ji Temple and the Great Buddha of Kamakura.
2:00 PM
Shop on the street leading to the Great Buddha of Kamakura. Enjoy the dango (see picture).
Must-try the warabimochi (dumplings).
