The Hong Kong Museum of History, located in Tsim Sha Tsui, covers a total floor area of 17,500 square meters. It is a comprehensive modern museum building, whose design and color scheme harmonize with the adjacent Science Museum, forming a unified museum complex.
In addition to the main building on Chatham Road South, the Hong Kong Museum of History also has five branch museums: the Hong Kong War of Resistance and Coastal Defence Museum in Shau Kei Wan, the Lei Cheng Uk Han Tomb Museum in Sham Shui Po, the Law Uk Folk Museum in Chai Wan, the Fireboat Alexander Grantham Exhibition Gallery in Quarry Bay Park, and the Dr. Sun Yat-sen Museum in Mid-Levels, Central.
