To celebrate the 95th anniversary of Hong Kong's public broadcasting, RTHK is hosting the "Audio and Video Shuttle - 95 Years of Hong Kong's Public Broadcasting" exhibition at the Hong Kong Museum of History from 2 December 2023 to 26 February 2024.
The entire exhibition starts with the sound broadcasting in 1928. By recreating the recording studio and classic program scenes, it displays precious cultural relics collected by Hong Kong Radio, such as old broadcasting equipment, precious record covers and clippings, historical photos, promotional commemorative publications and audio-visual clips.
In addition to exhibiting the collection items, a multimedia area is also set up in the exhibition hall, allowing citizens to relive clips of classic radio and television programs in the past.
While reviewing the events, the public can also learn about the development of Hong Kong’s broadcasting industry and Radio Hong Kong.
