Background
The Fullerton Ocean Park Hotel Hong Kong is the first Fullerton resort in the world and opened in July 2022. Nestled on Hong Kong Island’s South Side in Aberdeen, it fronts the South China Sea and is part of the broader Ocean Park leisure development. The hotel was developed as a joint venture and is owned partly by the Ocean Park Corporation. 

Why It’s Worth Staying
• Spectacular ocean views & rooms: All 425 rooms and suites offer panoramic sea views—towards the South China Sea, Ap Lei Pai, Mount Johnston, and over the nearby Water World Ocean Park. 
• Family-friendly amenities: Infinity pool perched with ocean views, a kids’ lagoon, indoor kids’ zone, and multiple themed rooms (Mermaid, Pirate, Safari, etc.) make it excellent for families. 
• Dining & wellness: Several restaurants with varied cuisines, a luxury spa, and 24-hour gym. The hotel also places strong emphasis on sustainability—WELL v2 Precertification, reducing single-use plastics, sustainable seafood sourcing, even an in-situ farm. 

My Impression
Staying here feels like having a private retreat by the sea, yet you’re still in Hong Kong. Waking up to sunrise over the water, enjoying a quiet morning swim in the infinity pool, then later soaking up local culture via the hotel’s curated nature & neighbourhood experiences—it strikes a rare balance. For me, the standout was being able to escape the city bustle without losing comfort or elegance. It’s a place that isn’t just about luxury—it’s about immersive calm with panoramic beauty.
