
Muwang National Forest Park is located within the Muwangguo State Forest Farm in western Zhen'an County, Shaanxi Province. It borders Shanyang County and Yunxi County in Hubei Province to the east, Ningshan County to the west, Hanbin District and Xunyang County in Ankang City to the south, and Zhashui County to the north. It lies between National Highway 210, the Xikang Railway, and the Xikang Expressway, reaching Xi'an to the north, Ankang to the south, and Hanzhong to the west. It is 78 kilometers from Zhen'an County and 156 kilometers from Xi'an, covering a total area of 3,616 hectares.
Muwang National Forest Park is located in the middle section of the southern slope of the Qinling Mountains, in Zhen'an County, Shangluo City, Shaanxi Province. It is a forest eco-tourism resort with recreation, sightseeing and leisure vacation as its main functions, while also having auxiliary functions such as scientific investigation, popular science education, and forest product production.
Muwang National Forest Park covers a total area of 3,616 hectares, with a minimum elevation of 1,350 meters and a maximum elevation of 2,601.6 meters. Its forest coverage rate reaches 98.3%, and its negative oxygen ion concentration reaches 50,000 per cubic meter. It is home to over 1,300 seed plant species, including over 30 nationally protected species such as yew, safflower, water hyacinth, and Abies qinlingensis. It is also home to over 200 species of wildlife, including over 10 nationally protected species such as takin, clouded leopard, golden eagle, black bear, and giant salamander. It is also a potential habitat for giant pandas, earning it the nickname "The World of Plants, the Kingdom of Animals."
The warm temperate semi-humid monsoon climate features four distinct seasons, with rain and heat occurring in the same season, and distinct dry and wet seasons in the summer and winter. Avoid the cold winter and travel in spring, summer, and autumn.
The main attractions of Sihaiping Scenic Area include Longtan Waterfall, Mifengping, Ludang Luoyan, Qixing Tiankeng, Sihai Flower Tide, Jixing Bamboo Forest, Qinglong Waterfall, Longyan Jade Curtain, Cuifeng Jixiu, Zhuxi Yingcui, Fangdian Winding Flow, Ancient Oak Rhyme, Xiangshuiyan, Sansheng Temple, Wenjia Temple and Martyrs Cemetery.
The main attractions of Shuangtouma Scenic Area include the original fir forest, the majestic Tiger Ridge, the smoky trees of Yunling, the Paomaliang, the husband and wife pines, the Fairy Foot, the Yulong Waterfall, the papaya garden, the pine forest flower stream, the red peony garden, and the fragrance of Cuiping flowers.
The landscape of the Cigou Scenic Area is dominated by the ten-mile azalea belt and the secluded stone gorge. It is composed of a series of landscape areas such as Yangsimiao, Yingpan Shugong, Lianxiang Yicai, Qingliu Huanyu, Longling Xueji, Kuanping Yunhai, Wenshan Sunset, and Pine Path on the Moon.
The main scenic spots in the Eagle's Beak Peak Scenic Area include Eagle's Beak Peak, Sitting Stone Buddha, Divine Turtle in the Forest, Green Forest and Pine Waves, Azalea Reflecting on the Cliff, Listening to the Sound of the Green Creek, Spring Willows and Flying Snow, Ancient Road with Distant Fragrance, Searching for Animals in the Forest, and Mass Graves.
