Autumn Sea Voyage｜Gulangyu Cruise Hong Kong → Miyako Island

The weather has been just perfect lately, not too hot nor too cold. So, I decided to take the Gulangyu Cruise to Miyako Island, Japan, for a few days. Departing from Hong Kong, it was my first time taking a cruise, and I was both excited and a little expectant. 😆

🚢 Departure Day
While waiting to board at the pier, many families and couples were happily taking photos 📸. After boarding, we headed to the deck to look at the sea. The sunset was stunning, and the sea breeze felt so refreshing. As the ship slowly sailed out of Victoria Harbour, watching Hong Kong's skyline grow smaller and smaller gave me a sense of embarking on an adventure. ✨

🍽️ Life on Board
The ship had everything! There were plenty of restaurants with a variety of food, and dinner even included a seafood buffet 🦐🦀. After eating, we watched a show, which was quite entertaining. Later at night, we went back to the deck to enjoy the breeze, listen to music, and sip on a cocktail 🍹—so relaxing!

🏝️ Arrival at Miyako Island
Waking up the next morning, I saw the blue sea outside! 😍 Miyako Island was absolutely beautiful, with crystal-clear waters and white sandy beaches. After disembarking, we rented bikes to explore the island, visited the beach to play in the water, and took lots of photos 📷. The locals were very friendly, and the whole experience was incredibly relaxing.

🌇 Return Journey
On the last evening aboard, we watched the sunset, which was breathtaking 🥹. The sky was painted in shades of orange and red. Everyone gathered on the deck to watch, with many couples taking photos to capture the moment.

Overall, it was such a joyful experience! Cruising to Japan was much more comfortable than I had imagined, and there was no rush like taking a flight. Autumn is the perfect season for a sea voyage, with pleasant weather and beautiful scenery. I definitely want to try cruising to other destinations next time! 😄
