Yuen Long's 'Meow's Pasta' specializes in handmade pasta

Recently, I've seen many introductions to handmade pasta, and I've been tempted to try it. This time, I visited a newly opened restaurant in Yuen Long that focuses on handmade pasta, called 'Meow's Pasta' 🍝.

The restaurant is not very spacious, and if you order several dishes at a two-person table, it might feel a bit cramped. I went on a weekday evening, and it was fully occupied. The staff are quite friendly and actively seek your feedback. As a new establishment, it's evident that they are eager to improve and are quite sincere in their efforts.

💚 Thai Basil Pesto with Portobello Mushrooms and Orecchiette $98
The pesto is quite rich, with a strong basil aroma 🌿. We chose the handmade orecchiette pasta, which has a slightly chewy texture and tastes pretty good.

🧡 Lobster Tail with Rich Lobster Sauce and Straw Pasta $168
The lobster tail 🦞 has a slightly charred flavor and is well-seasoned, but the meat is a bit dry and sticks to the shell. The straw pasta has a springy texture. The lobster sauce is a bit light and doesn't cling well to the pasta; it would be better if it were thicker.

🍟 Crispy Fries with Lava Truffle Cheese Sauce $68
The cheese sauce is relatively thick and rich, not as greasy as expected.

🍗 Crispy Salted Egg Yolk Chicken Wings $38/4 pieces
The chicken wings are fried to a crispy perfection, with a slight grainy texture from the salted egg yolk. The salted egg flavor is quite prominent overall.

🍹 Mocktail - Hello Kitty $38
A mix of strawberry puree, orange juice, and lime soda, offering a sweet and tangy flavor that's refreshing and appetizing.

☕️ Mocha Coffee $38
The taste is good, not too bitter, with a stronger mocha flavor. The milk foam is a bit thick.
