Warm and Fragrant Small Restaurant @ Noma Cuisine NOMA ryouri

Yesterday I shared a new izakaya in Taikoo! Today I'm introducing another cozy Japanese family-style restaurant. The ambiance and food were just what I wanted, and I highly recommend everyone try it.

This restaurant is called NOMA ryouri! The wooden decor creates a warm and comfortable homey atmosphere.

The walls are covered with ceramic pieces! These are the creations of the owner and his children, and the love that permeates the restaurant is so sweet.

For lunch, they offer a single-serving appetizer with 3, 5, or 7 dishes, priced from $88 to $158. For dinner, in addition to main courses and hot pot, they offer a six-course evening meal for one, featuring six carefully selected dishes – quite a generous spread.

Let's start with a refreshing and delightful honey lemon soda ($48)! The rich aroma of honey combined with the fresh lemon makes this soda incredibly fragrant and perfectly sweet – truly delicious.

Dad chose Tieguanyin Fresh Milk ($48)! Its vibrant green color and elegant latte art are very appealing, and the texture is incredibly smooth with a delicate aroma – a truly delightful drink.

Tuna Belly Paste with Scallions and Mustard Sauce Toast ($128)! The smooth tuna belly paste is enhanced with homemade tuna oil, while scallions and mustard sauce add layers of flavor. Enjoying it with crispy toast is a real treat.

Hokkaido Snow Dream Pork Bandit Grill ($128)! The pork is made with premium Hokkaido Snow Dream pork, known for its sweet flavor. The addition of flavorful black pepper gives it a spicy and enticing taste, and the sweet onions make it a perfect accompaniment to rice.

Red Wine Kyoho Beef Tongue Stew ($98)! This dish made Dad's mouth water. The sweetness of the red wine and Kyoho beer permeates the beef tongue, creating a rich, delicate, and unforgettable flavor.

Hokkaido Creamy Orange-Scented Salmon and Spinach $148! The pan-fried salmon stewed with smooth cream is already delicious, but the topping with honey-treated orange peel elevates the flavor to a climax. The dish is fragrant but not greasy—truly delicious.

Of course, a main course needs a good rice dish! Wild Mushroom Rice $22/bowl is bursting with mushroom aroma and pairs perfectly with any main course.

Oyster Cream & Krill Hiroshima Oyster Udon $178! The incredibly rich oyster flavor infuses the smooth Inaniwa udon, leaving a lingering aftertaste. The udon is also served with two fresh Krill Hiroshima oysters—crispy, not greasy, and bursting with freshness.

The desserts are simply divine! First up is the XXXXL Crème Brûlée Flavored Half-Baked French Toast with Ice Cream and Honey $188. This dessert is enough for 4-6 people to share, and only ten are available daily.

The egg batter for the bread is made with Hokkaido milk and cream! First, it's fried in butter, then baked until fragrant, and finally topped with mixed berries and ice cream. Drizzling sweet honey over it before eating makes it an incredibly sinful yet irresistible dessert.

The rich milk and egg flavors create a smooth and delicious texture, a truly blissful experience.

The Thick Tieguanyin Cream & Half-Baked French Toast with Honey and Nuts ($88) is another incredibly tempting dessert. The toast has a crispy exterior and a moist, soft interior, perfectly complemented by the fragrant and smooth Tieguanyin cream.

The restaurant also offers special breakfast selections on weekends and public holidays. During the opening period, spending over $300 earns you a free eco-friendly bag. Various discounts are available in November, making it even more affordable. I wish there was such a high-quality restaurant near my home!
