Slow Living Mui Wo - Silver Mine Cave, Silver Mine Bay, Waterfall

#muiwo #hkoutlyingisland
Our family likes Mui Wo very much. When Cheung Chau and Lamma Island are crowded with tourists, Mui Wo can still bring us a relatively peaceful environment and give us a peaceful holiday. Mui Wo has many attractions, not only beaches, historical sites, mines, waterfalls, but also mangroves and river mouths. You can go on a weekend eco-tour. We have also found some routes suitable for families and children.

Must-visit attractions=》Silver Mine Waterfall Garden
Silver Mine Waterfall is located near Bai Yin Township, Lantau Island. It is divided into upper and lower waterfalls. Next to the waterfall is Silver Mine Waterfall Park with a pavilion. Children can also observe the river ecology at the waterfall.

How to get there:
You can reach the waterfall along the Olympic Trail from Mui Wo Rural Council Road, which takes about 20-30 minutes.

Attraction 2: Mui Wo Man Mo Temple
Mui Wo Man Mo Temple is the oldest temple in Mui Wo. Although it is small in scale and has been renovated many times, it still retains the style of a traditional temple. It is said that it was built during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty and has a history of more than 400 years. It has 200 more years of history than Man Mo Temple in Sheung Wan.

Attraction 3: Silver Mine Bay Beach
Silver Mine Bay Beach has clear water and fine sand. It is also a good place for picnics, barbecues and water sports.

How to get to Mui Wo
1. Take the ferry from Central Pier 6
Ordinary boat 50 to 55 minutes
High-speed boat 35 to 40 minutes
