The Honghu Xiangxi Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial Hall is located in the southwest of Xindi Town, Honghu City, at the junction of Hunan and Hubei provinces. It is located on the south side of the Yangtze River and overlooks Honghu Lake in the north. It is majestic and solemn. 131 meters in front of the monument is a full-length bronze statue of Marshal He Long designed by the Chinese People's Revolutionary Military Museum. To commemorate the 100th anniversary of Marshal He Long's birth, the bronze statue is 4 meters high and weighs 2.4 tons. The statue is 3.22 meters high, indicating the day of Marshal He Long's birth. The total height is 8.1 meters, symbolizing that Marshal He Long once served as the commander-in-chief of the "August 1" Nanchang Uprising. The memorial hall displays the historical facts of the Xiangxi Soviet area during the Second Revolutionary War, and vividly reproduces the glorious course of the revolutionary struggle of the people of Xiangxi. The huge portraits of He Long, Zhou Yiqun, and Duan Dechang, the founders of the Xiangxi Revolutionary Base, are parked in the museum.
