During the Dragon Boat Festival, despite two rainy days, we took our little one to Ningbo and stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Ningbo Chunxiao. This hotel not only offered various family-friendly activities during the holiday but also boasted breathtaking sea views. Just a 10-minute walk to the beach, it was truly a one-stop destination for relaxed family fun!
đź—“ My Itinerary:
Day 1: 3-hour 🚗 drive from Shanghai — Hotel check-in — Participating in hotel kids' activities — Dinner
🏨 Hotel Check-in:
We stayed in a family room featuring a large bed and a crib with safety railings on both sides to prevent falls. The room also came with building blocks that kept little Keke entertained all evening. It was fully equipped with child-friendly amenities like baby toothbrushes, bath towels, toilet seat covers, a bathtub, and even floating balls! The room offered great views, with Meishan Bay Beach Park visible from the balcony.
âś… Hotel Kids' Activities: The hotel's children's programs were incredibly diverse. After check-in, we took Keke to join activities like making zongzi (sticky rice dumplings), baking cookies, and a firefighter role-play. The little one was fascinated, listening intently to staff instructions and imitating them earnestly.
🍽 Dinner: We enjoyed a buffet at the Jin Yu All-Day Dining Restaurant on the first floor. The spread was lavish—featuring BBQ, seafood, and various Ningbo local delicacies. The desserts were adorably shaped, and Keke couldn't resist having multiple servings.
Day 2: Hotel breakfast — First-floor kids' play area — Lunch at hotel — Afternoon return
🍽 Hotel Breakfast: The morning buffet also showcased a variety of Ningbo specialties.
✅ First-Floor Kids' Play Area: With rain continuing the next day, we opted to stay indoors. The compact but well-equipped play zone on the first floor had slides, a sandpit, building blocks, a play kitchen, and ride-on cars—enough to keep children engaged for hours.
âś… Go-Kart Experience: After the play area, we took Keke for a go-kart ride in the hallway, which brought endless giggles.
âś… Post-lunch at the hotel, we headed back. If time permits, nearby attractions worth exploring include:
✔️ 15-minute walk to Meishan Bay Beach Park
✔️ 16-minute walk to Port Museum
✔️ 20-minute walk to Meishan Bay Ice & Snow World
