Wawu Mountain is truly breathtaking, like a fairyland!

Just returned from a May Day holiday trip to Hongya's Wawu Mountain, and this hidden gem in Sichuan is absolutely incredible! The entire scenic area is barrier-free and super friendly for everyone, with unbelievably beautiful scenery and few crowds – no queues at all!

🌲 Must-Visit Spots:
📍 Cable Car Station:
A must-ride! The round-trip cable car at 120 yuan per person is totally worth it. The 20-minute ride feels like flying through a sea of clouds – be sure to get a window seat for photos. The mist on the descent is magical, like traveling through a fairyland!

📍 Shuangyuan Stream:
Crystal-clear waters where you can feed countless koi fish with 9.9 yuan fish food (my hands were swollen from all the nibbling after one bag, lol). Best visited before 10 AM or after 3 PM for fewer crowds and perfect photo lighting.

📍 Lanxi Waterfall:
A short walk on wooden planks (not tiring at all) leads to this refreshing waterfall with frequent rainbows! Bring a light jacket as the mist is intense (my hair got soaked but it was totally worth it).

📍 Yuanyang Pool:
A legendary romantic spot with mirror-like waters reflecting snow-capped mountains and clouds. Elderly couples sell freshly ground soy milk by the pool for 5 yuan/cup – delicious and warming!

🍜 Food Recommendations:
Must-try at the entrance: the time-honored "Zhang's Tofu Rice" – 10 yuan for incredibly tender tofu with secret-recipe chili sauce.
"Wawu Kitchen" on the mountainside serves amazing local chicken soup (58 yuan/bowl) – so flavorful it'll make your eyebrows dance! Perfect for two.

📌 Practical Tips:
1. Buy tickets + cable car combo on Ctrip in advance for hassle-free entry with ID
2. Big temperature difference! Bring a jacket even in May – mornings are chilly for cloud viewing
3. Fully accessible paths make it great for elderly/children – saw several strollers
4. Recommended visit time: 4-6 hours (we took 5 hours with photos and meals)
5. Huge FREE parking lot – so rare these days it's almost tear-jerking!
