Daqinggou National Nature Reserve is located in the western part of the Horqin Grassland in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Daqinggou is more than 200 meters wide, more than 50 meters deep, about 24 kilometers long, and has a total area of 8183 hectares. In 1980, the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region officially established the Daqinggou Provincial Nature Reserve. The Daqinggou Reserve is mainly aimed at protecting the natural precious broad-leaved mixed forest and the original forest ecosystem of the Horqin Desert.
