The golden yellow of the Ulan Maodu Grassland is the wildest romance of autumn!

Some roads are meant to be traveled alone.✨
Some scenery can only truly resonate when you are by yourself.🍃
This autumn, I drove to the Ulan Maodu Grassland in Inner Mongolia (📍Arxan City, Hinggan League, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region) for a grand reconciliation with myself.
🚗 Free-spirited self-driving route:
No companions, no compromises, no plans.
The wind is the best navigator💨. When tired, I just parked by the roadside, facing the endless, golden waves of grass swaying in the breeze. Opening the car window, the wind mixed with sunlight and the scent of dry grass instantly filled my body, as if carrying away all the heaviness piled up in my heart.
📸 Must-visit landmark:
I climbed alone to the popular photo spot "Grassland Swiss Roll" (📍Arxan Scenic Viewing Platform). Sitting at the highest point, there was no noise in sight, only the vast golden grassland intertwined with the blue sky. At that moment, the world was so quiet that only the sound of the wind remained🌬️. I didn’t feel lonely; instead, I was gently embraced by this land and sky.
🌟 Solo travel reflections:
Here, I spent more time putting down the camera than raising it.
I thought about nothing, yet somehow understood everything.
This trip wasn’t about meeting anyone, but about rediscovering the part of myself forgotten by the fast pace of city life, the part that longs for freedom amidst the vast golden fields🌾.
💫 Travel TIPS:
- Best season: September to October (golden autumn colors)
- Must-bring gear: windbreaker, sunglasses, power bank
- Photo advice: the light is most beautiful at sunrise and sunset
To this free wilderness, and to every brave soul who dares to set out🍻
