Ziqing Mountain, nestled in the foothills west of Hongya Danjing in Meiling, Wanli District, Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province, is a scenic spot boasting caves within caves, cascading streams, cascading waterfalls, and serene pools. Within the scenic area, stacked and supported by giant boulders, clear springs, towering pines and white clouds, and interspersed with vines create a tranquil, precipitous, and breathtaking natural landscape. From atop this scenic spot, the view encompasses distant mountains, pastoral valleys, hillside towns and flat forests, urban settlements, and the outlines of rivers, all taking in the breathtaking scenery.
When the Eastern Jin Dynasty writer Guo Pu and Xu Xun visited Xishan together, they included the couplet "Left grasping the sleeve of Fuqiu, right patting the shoulder of Hongya..." in their immortal poem. The "Fuqiu sleeve" here refers to the supine sleeping Buddha Sakyamuni on Ziqing Mountain. The Taoist "Yunji Seven Spells" call Meiling the "Twelfth Cave Heaven" and "Twenty Blessed Lands," demonstrating the prevalence of Taoism in Meiling at the time. The Ziqing Palace within the original scenic area is one of Meiling's "Seven Great Public Temples," ranking second only to the Yulong Wanshou Palace in Xishan. Since the late Western Han Dynasty, celebrities such as Guo Pu, Xu Xun, Ouyang Xiu, Zeng Gong, Huang Tingjian, Yue Fei, and Liu Yan have visited and composed poetry here. Others, such as Zhang Yun of the Tang Dynasty, Chen Youliang of the late Yuan and early Ming dynasties, and Xu Huiyuan, a cabinet minister of the Qing Dynasty, have cultivated themselves and lived in seclusion here, leaving behind numerous legends.
The subtropical monsoon climate is home to the Wujing Reservoir, the only and most beautiful highlight of the Meiling Mountain Hiking Tour, making it a suitable destination for travel in all seasons.
There are caves, streams hanging from the caves, waterfalls, and turquoise pools in the cave, which are suitable for viewing.
