Wat Huay Mongkol

Wat Huay Mongkol is home to the world's largest statue of Luang Phor Thuad. Originally named 'Wat Huay Kot,' it is located in the Ban Huay Kot community, Thap Tai Subdistrict, Hua Hin District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province. Later, His Majesty the King graciously renamed it from Huay Kot to Huay Mongkol. Today, the name Huay Mongkol is used for the village, the temple, and the school. The atmosphere within the temple is peaceful and shady, making it an ideal place for families to visit, pay respects, and seek blessings for good fortune. Additionally, it is not far from Bangkok, making for a relaxing drive before heading to the beach.
