Hualien: My Second Hometown and First Visit to Qixingtan

Hualien is my second hometown. I graduated from Yuli Junior High School in Hualien. I've worked in Hualien many times since I started working, but I've never been to Qixingtan.

I didn't expect that on my first visit, I'd find myself staying at Hotel Moon, a Qixingtan Ocean View Resort Hotel with a distinctly aristocratic feel and a must-see for internet celebrities.

From the moment you push open the stained-glass doors and over a thousand kilograms of cast iron, you're transformed into royalty.

Before you lies a shimmering pool of Greek goddesses, above which rises a breathtakingly beautiful European-style dome, meticulously crafted by an artist.

To the left of the entrance is a shell chair from Dubai, reportedly worth over NT$100,000.

The sparkling, beautiful crystal chandelier above the reception room starts at NT$1 million.

If you're unfamiliar with the meaning of the idioms "golden and magnificent," "dazzling," and "a dazzling array of beauty," you'll understand them instantly upon entering!

The view from our ocean-view suite was fantastic. Only the central bedroom window was slightly obstructed by the building in front, while the remaining windows and balcony offered uninterrupted ocean views.

We slept on a Simmons mattress, which was no wonder I slept through the night. Normally, at home, I'd wake up two or three times in the middle of the night to pee. I used to think it was just my age and my vision was compromised.

Best of all, you can soak in the rooftop spa while gazing at the ocean view—a must-see for influencers! The curving bay of Qixingtan is unobstructed!

One level above the rooftop spa is a glass-clad café. It's not open to the public yet, but it would be a truly romantic experience to enjoy a cup of coffee and admire the ocean view in the future.
