When visiting Hualien, Tianxiang is a destination you cannot miss. Located in the central part of Taroko National Park, Tianxiang is a large river terrace recreational area nestled within the gorge. Originally named Tabido, meaning mountain palm, it was later renamed in honor of Wen Tianxiang. This area boasts a spacious environment and offers accommodations, dining, bus transfer services, and more, making it a key service hub and attraction along the Central Cross-Island Highway in Taroko. Major attractions include Xiangde Temple, Tianfeng Pagoda, and Meiyuan (Plum Garden). During winter, the blooming plum blossoms create a stunning view, making it a popular spot for flower viewing.
