Huangshan Secret Realm Tiandu Peak Guide for Beginners

Huangshan this autumn is absolutely breathtaking! After three days of exploring, I'm completely blown away. ★Day 1: Ascended via the Yiping Cable Car, and the Welcoming Pine, Tiandu Peak, and Aoyu Peak sunset were scream-worthy. ★Day 2: Watched the sunrise from Guangmingding (highly recommend arriving 30 minutes early to snag a spot), then headed straight to the West Sea Grand Canyon—stunning views all the way. ★Day 3: Equally amazing sunrise at Shixin Peak, then descended via the Cloud Valley Cable Car and went directly to Taiping Lake. >3<
♥Here's the key! I took the reverse route, perfectly avoiding the massive tour groups. Ascending around 9-10 am was super comfortable, and Tiandu Peak was practically empty. Keep an eye on the Huangshan cloud sea forecast; if it rains the day before and is sunny the next day, there's a high chance of seeing the sea of clouds, and it's easier to encounter in autumn and winter than in spring and summer. Highly recommend staying at Lion Forest Cottage, right next to Lion Peak, with incredible views from the floor-to-ceiling windows and super attentive butler service. Enjoy afternoon tea without leaving the mountain—pure bliss. Don't miss Taiping Lake Scenic Area after descending; it's a half-hour drive, and the lake water is as clear as emerald. Taking a boat trip around the islands is incredibly relaxing.
♥Transportation is super easy; take the high-speed train to Huangshan North Station, then a taxi or bus will get you to the scenic area in an hour. This trip completely changed my impression of Huangshan!
