DAY 1 – Arrival in #huangshan & Local Flavors
🏙️ Exploring Tunxi Old Street
We arrived in Huangshan City and spent the afternoon wandering through Tunxi Old Street, a charming riverside district known for its well-preserved wooden architecture and traditional Anhui atmosphere.
🛍️ Shops & Street Snacks
We browsed through small craft stores, antique shops, and tea vendors, all nestled in ancient wooden buildings. Of course, we couldn’t leave without tasting the famously pungent local specialty — hairy tofu — a true local delicacy!
DAY 2 – Yellow Mountains Hiking Adventure
🥾 Early Departure to Tangkou Village
We left Huangshan City early in the morning and arrived at Tangkou Village, where we entered the scenic area between 7:00–8:00 AM.
We had arranged a private driver for the day, who waited for us in the village during the hike.
🚠 Up via Yuping Cable Car (West Side)
We began our adventure by taking the Yuping Cable Car, which brought us up into the stunning landscapes of the Yellow Mountains (Huangshan).
🌲 Hiking the East Side Trail
Our hike took us along the breathtaking East Side trail, passing several iconic landmarks:
📍 Guest-Greeting Pine
📍Turtle Cave
📍Bright Top Peak
📍Flying Over Rock
📍Cloud Dispelling Pavilion
📍Stone Monkey Watching the Sea
📍Black Tiger Pine
🚡 Descent via Yungu Cable Car (East Side)
We ended the hike by descending with the Yungu Cable Car, taking in a final look at the sea of clouds and dramatic peaks from above.
🚗 Return to Tangkou & Huangshan City
After the hike, we reunited with our driver in Tangkou Village and returned to Huangshan City, tired but amazed by the beauty of China’s most legendary mountain range.
