The restored display of the former residence uses a large number of precious pictures and real objects to show Li Hongzhang's eventful life. Through this highly controversial figure, it reveals a little-known period of suffering, twists and turns, and tragic journey in modern Chinese history.
Li Hongzhang's former residence is a typical residential building in the Jianghuai region of the late Qing Dynasty. It has a neat layout, rigorous structure, carved beams and painted buildings, and is exquisite and luxurious. It covers an area of 2,000 square meters. From south to north, it is divided into the main gate, front hall, and middle hall. The third entrance is a two-story attic. The back two entrances are connected by a corridor downstairs. The upstairs is equipped with a beauty's seat connected by a corridor. It is commonly known as the Zoumalou. Because it was used by Li's family members to live, it is also called the " Miss Building ".
