Hue's tourist season spans from November of the previous year to April of the following year, with the most beautiful period being the first 3-4 months of the year when the weather is cool. For those who love mountains, the sea, and enjoy watching sunrises and sunsets, the ideal time to visit is from June to August, when the sun is at its most radiant and the sea is at its bluest.
Dong Ba Market: This iconic symbol of the ancient capital is bustling with activity year-round. Stretching from Gia Hoi Bridge to Truong Tien Bridge, the market features thousands of stalls. Upon entering, you'll be greeted by the vibrant and colorful atmosphere of a Hue market. Visitors can explore and enjoy delicious local foods or browse through stalls selling clothes, fabrics, hats, fish sauces, cakes, and fruits unique to Hue, perfect for souvenirs.
Quoc Hoc Hue: You can visit this historic school at noon, around 11:30 AM, or after 5:00 PM to take photos and explore when students are not present. The campus is shaded by large trees, offering a cool and pleasant environment. If you arrive early in the morning, the security guard may not allow entry due to school hours. Parking at the school costs 5,000 VND.
Truong Tien Bridge: Spanning the Perfume River, this bridge is a memorable image associated with Hue. During the day, it quietly reflects on the river, but in the late afternoon and evening, it becomes adorned with sparkling colored lights, creating a striking visual. In the evening, visitors can combine a stroll along the Perfume River with a visit to snack stalls that attract crowds during this time.
For a magical view of the city illuminated by lights from the Perfume River, visitors can take a dragon boat ride and enjoy Hue singing, a unique cultural experience. Hue singing represents a blend of royal court music and folk traditions. A typical Hue singing performance features one singer accompanied by a set of five instruments, with the singer's voice enhanced by the vibrant sounds of the instruments. Tickets for a one-hour Hue singing program on the Perfume River range from 100,000 to 150,000 VND per person.
