Eat Northeastern cuisine at Huizhou Shili Silver Beach? Pine nut fish?

origin:

In the last century, I heard a friend in Hong Kong say: If you want to eat Japanese food, go to Causeway Bay, where there are many Japanese and the sushi is fresh.
More than ten years ago, I heard from a friend in Shenzhen that if you want to eat Korean food, you have to go to the Donghai area in Futian, where there are many Koreans and the food is authentic.
This year, I went to Huizhou Shili Silver Beach with a friend to look at houses. I heard that many people from Northeast China go south to avoid the cold in winter... So, should I try some Northeastern cuisine?

Northeastern Restaurant

In fact, there are quite a few Northeastern Chinese restaurants in Shili Yintan, but many of them actually sell dumplings, sauerkraut and the like. There is one that is even stranger, with its sign saying "Northeastern Chinese", but it sells other things underneath. 😂
Finally, we arrived at a Northeastern restaurant opposite the entrance of Shili Silver Beach, sat down and ordered a dish of stir-fried shredded pork with soybean sauce, mixed with fresh onions, coriander, shredded green peppers and cucumbers, and ate it by ourselves by wrapping it in bean curd skin. good!

Then I ordered a red bean paste pancake. Isn’t red bean paste pancake a Shanghainese dish? I thought there might be a Northeastern cooking method... Turns out, it tastes just as good when made fresh!

Pine Nut Fish

In fact, I also ordered pine nut fish, knowing that it is a Jiangsu and Zhejiang dish and I have eaten it before in Hangzhou. The grass carp used here is more than two kilograms. It doesn’t matter, the pine nut fish requires effort to be cooked, and it only costs more than sixty dollars.

It is difficult to find good Kung Fu cuisine in Hong Kong, or it is very expensive. Seeing the price, I decided to try it, and I was pleasantly surprised... The store owner said that the fish must be about two kilograms to cut into pieces of appropriate size, and the cut should just reach the skin without breaking it. It is fried into a pine nut shape, and the sauce is cooked with moderate sweetness and sourness, mixed with real pine nuts, which adds an extra taste to the crispy skin and tender meat... The only flaw is that it has thorns! careful!

After enjoying the meal, let’s have a Qingdao beer and have a taste of Northeast China! 😂
