Huizhou China Resources Xiaojing Bay Beach is back, but I really don't recommend going in August because it's just too popular

Summer and the beach are a perfect match! Recently checked in at Huizhou China Resources Xiaojing Bay Beach, the experience was amazing. I've put together this super practical guide, so save it quickly!

📍Address: No.1 China Resources Xiaojing Bay Beach, Xiayong, Daya Bay, Huiyang District, Huizhou City, Guangdong Province

🎫Tickets: Free to enjoy, no reservation needed, head to the beach anytime

⏰Opening Hours: Open all day, but swimming is prohibited after 9:00 PM, so plan your time accordingly

🚗Transportation

- Self-driving: About 1 hour from Shenzhen, about 2.5 hours from Guangzhou, just navigate to "China Resources Xiaojing Bay." Remember to leave early on weekends to avoid traffic jams. Parking fee is about 10 RMB/hour.

- High-speed rail: Arrive at Huiyang Station or Huizhou South Station, then take a taxi for about 30 minutes. Public buses are not recommended due to long travel time and infrequent service.

- Airplane: After arriving at Huizhou Pingtan Airport, a taxi ride of about 40 minutes will start your seaside trip.

🏠Accommodation Options

- China Resources Xiaojing Bay Community: A cost-effective choice, close to the beach, some rooms offer stunning sea views, and you can play in the sand and waves just downstairs.

- Le Méridien Hotel: Highly recommended if you have a sufficient budget! It features unbeatable sea view rooms and the super popular UFO infinity pool, perfect for photos.

📸Recommended Check-in Spots

- UFO Infinity Pool: The signature of Le Méridien Hotel, facing the sea 360°, go between 4-6 PM when the sunset glow reflects on the water, stunning beyond words! Free for hotel guests; non-guests can inquire about paid access.

- Seaside Wooden Boardwalk: Extends along the coastline, very atmospheric at sunrise and sunset, photos come with a natural Japanese filter vibe, perfect for great shots.

- White Lighthouse: At the end of the beach, the white lighthouse paired with the deep blue sea and rocks is artistic and romantic, a must-visit for couples!

🍱Food Recommendations

- Seafood Stalls: Right by the beach, fresh seafood caught daily, choose from steamed or spicy stir-fried, about 80 RMB per person for a very satisfying meal.

- Seaside Café: Order an iced Americano and a small cake, enjoy the sea breeze and a relaxing afternoon.

- Local Special Snacks: Must try pickled mango and sour papaya, sweet and sour, refreshing and helps with digestion.

🧳Travel Essentials

- Sun Protection Gear: Sunscreen, sunglasses, sun hat, sun-protective clothing; UV rays are strong by the sea, so be sure to protect yourself!

- Change of Clothes: Bring several pretty dresses for photos, and don’t forget your swimsuit and swim trunks.

- Other Items: Slippers, beach toys, power bank, stomach medicine (just in case seafood causes discomfort).

📌Practical Tips

- If you want to try water activities, negotiate price and duration with vendors in advance and pay attention to safety.

- Swimming after 4 PM is most comfortable and avoids the midday sun.

- Check tide times online beforehand; going to the beach at low tide to catch sea creatures is super fun.
