1. visit local island
eg. maafushi / fulidhoo /male
these are local island where the locals are. however no alcohols

2. take advantage of the free cruise to Crossroad Maldives

3. choose the right timing
low peak season = saving

4. Transportation
take public ferry instead of speedboat
public ferry 1 USD Vs speedboat 15-25 USD
plan ahead as public ferry only run one time per day per island

5. use local currency instead of USD in local islands
1USD = 19.5 MVR
if were to use USD in local island they charge as 1USD = 15 MVR +-

we made it with less than RM3000 per pax 5d4n all inclusive ( MAS flight tic/ accomodation/ transport /meal / excursion)
