Furong waterfall

#chinatravel Furong Village is one of those underrated gems that feels like a peaceful time warp. It’s tucked away in the mountains of Hunan and built right along a cliff with a massive waterfall running through the middle of it. Yeah, a literal waterfall flowing through the village, pretty awesome.
The old stone streets and wooden houses give off serious ancient town vibes. Super fun to just wander around, grab a random snack, and peek into little shops selling handmade stuff. It’s not super touristy (yet), so everything feels a bit more relaxed and real.
The waterfall lights up at night and looks straight-up magical, so definitely stick around after sunset. You can also walk down to the bottom for cool views from below.
Bring comfy shoes, there are lots of stairs and uneven paths. Bonus: not far from Zhangjiajie, so it’s an easy add-on if you’re already in the area.
Furong is quiet, beautiful, and kinda perfect if you're into slower travel and epic views.
